Elemental Retreat Mexico - 5 spaces left

MEXICO OCTOBER 2024

We invite you to join us on a  journey to the charming place of Tepoztlan, Mexico next October 23rd-30th 2024. Tepoztlan is a charming town south of Mexico city and is known as the reputed birthplace of Quetzalcoatl, the Aztec feathered serpent god. Tepoztlán is one of Mexico’s most alluring and unique colonial towns.  With a breath-taking mountainous landscape, charming colourful town centre, rich echoes of ancient civilizations, and an interesting convergence of inhabitants, the town makes for one of the most remarkable mix of colonial and indigenous experiences in Mexico.

It is with great joy that we wish to welcome you to our next overseas retreat which will be taking place in a place known as traditional Mexico, the village of Tepoztlan. Surrounded by nothing but nature and beauty, Amate Camp is situated within the hills of Tepoztlan. Wake up each morning to the soundtrack of nature, bathing within the beautiful scenery of the surrounding landscape. Whether you wish to join us each morning for a journey of meditation and yoga or pop on your shoes and head out for a stomp within the hills we would love to welcome you to this beautiful space. Join us for a journey of yoga, meditation, breathwork, traditional temazcal, mandala, hiking, cacao ceremony, exploration, community and more.

Each day we will be sharing with you a variety of practices such as yoga, breathwork, meditation, mandala and more! Throughout the week we will also be diving into the traditional ceremonies such as Temazcal, a purifying ancestral ceremony, and a cacao ceremony both which have been practised in Mexico for years and are believed to purify the mind, body and soul alongside having many healing modalities. There will also be an evening where we gather around the bonfire to share conversations, songs and much more!

This week is a journey of culture, yoga, nature and community and we would love more than anything to welcome you on it.

Everyday after our mornings practise we shall gather for a big family style brunch filled with lots of traditional foods, fresh fruits and nature's delights. We believe that food is not only medicine but that sitting around the dinner table together is a beautiful time to form connections and share the joy of love, laughter and of course delicious food!. Together over the table we can celebrate all that this time has to offer. Over the week we shall be providing 7 mid morning brunches and 5 family style dinners, leaving two evenings free for people to head out for dinners or join us as we take the group out into the beautiful colourful town of Tepoztlan.

During the week we will be putting on many practices. However, of course we understand the importance of also having time for yourself to just be, so there will be plenty of free time to rest, relax by the pool, head out into the hills or grab a ten minute taxi to visit the beautiful local village to explore the shops and enjoy feasting in the local restaurants.

October in Mexico is a beautiful time to visit, it falls just after the rainy season therefore all of the surroundings at Amate Camp tend to be lucious and green with temperatures warm enough to either explore or lounge around the pool!

The location of Tepoztlán is 1hr 30 mins drive from Mexico City, creating many options for flights and the trip to the other side and quick one.

Direct flights to Mexico City occur from London, Amsterdam and Madrid. The best flight from Manchester is to usually travel through Amsterdam.
