Three Wild Hearted Women

In 2018, after completing my studies in Sports Therapy, I (Kit) travelled to Bali to begin my Yoga Teacher Training. My mum (Jane)  was just about to retire, and together we decided to embark on the journey side by side, training in the heart of Ubud, Indonesia…what an adventure it was!

When we returned home filled with passion and excitement we decided to take the leap and teach our friends and family alongside continuing my work as a Sports Therapist. Every week we would move all of the furniture in the living room and create a mini studio out of the space. As our community grew, we hired local village halls and sports spaces, creating makeshift studios wherever we could. Eventually, my very kind dad gave up half of his garage (purely so that he could have his living room back!) and together with the help of my sister's husband they transformed the garage it into the yoga studio we now call home at Reindeer Cottage.

Since then, we’ve taught from that cosy space, sharing our practice and growing a wonderful community around us. We believe yoga is about so much more than movement, it’s about the people you meet, the conversations you share, and the lifelong tools it gives you to move through the world with more ease and awareness.

Over the years, we’ve hosted retreats abroad, our first one back in Bali where our journey began and after that in Mexico, and Morocco, and now we run annual weekend retreats in the Peak District. Retreats are our favourite way to reconnect with nature, community, and ourselves.

Now, I work alongside my mum and sister as the three wild-hearted women behind Wild Heart Yoga. My mum, Jane, is the most caring woman I’ve ever met. She spent her career as a nurse and later in public health, always led by a deep instinct to care for and support others, a gift she continues to share through our yoga teaching. I’m so grateful to be on this path with her, blending our experiences and perspectives, and bringing all generations together through our shared love of yoga.

My sister works in ecology, wildlife conservation, and community engagement, and brings with her a deep love and respect for the natural world. Together, we weave our passions for yoga, nature, and everything in between — creating offerings that honour the connection between inner and outer landscapes, and invite others to move, rest, and remember their place in it all.

Wild Heart Yoga is a space for all — welcoming every body, every story, and every season of life. We look forward to continuing this journey and sharing our passions with everyone we meet along the way.
